Volunteer Awards 2008

We're proud and delighted to announce the recipients of our first Volunteer Awards which were created as a way of acknowledging the many individuals who contribute their time, effort and enthusiasm to Parents Like Us.

Next Generation	Mary Kemp-Bruce and Chloe Campanile	Mary and Chloe are 11 and have shown amazing enthusiasm and eagerness to help in many areas over the past two years.
Youngest Registered Volunteer	Evie Magee	Evie Magee is aged 7 and worked at the festival for most of two days.
Press & Publicity	Jackie Kemp	Jackie did our press release this year and got us a great deal of media publicity.
Best Newcomer	Sally Edwards	Sally took on the role of receptionist at the therapies tent and left us all wondering how on earth we managed without her previously.
Most Popular	Clare Downer	Clare Downer
Behind-the-Scenes	Angus Miller	Angus put in a lot of hours seting up PLU in the days leading up to the opening and afterwards when it was all over and the hard graft of putting it all away began.
Voice	Graeme Easton	Graeme has been our announcer for 3 years now and despite many an attempt to usurp him, no-one comes close. Was also the dj for Sensory of Sound this year.
Dedication	Janet Innes	Janet put a tremendous amount of time and effort into PLU for several months, not just as a committee member but also covering box office sales, running the cafes and helping with the Sensory of Sound show.
Key Person	Rosaly Johnston Hille Tekotte Leila Okasha	All of whom took on, and managed, a key area throughout the weekend. No mean feat.
Volunteer Recruitment	Jenni Salton	Jenni recruited so many volunteers for PLU that we actually lost count at one point!
