Rosey duo

The Rosy Blue Duo comprises Rosie Nimmo on vocals, rhythm guitar and harmonica and Stuart Allardyce on guitar.

The duo share a wealth of musical experience spanning many years.  They have played in the Glasgow Jazz Festival, the Fife Jazz Festival, Jazz up the Trossachs and in the Edinburgh International Jazz and Blues Festival.  They play regularly for the National Galleries of Scotland.  The duo usually play in the Famous Spiegeltent as part of the Edinburgh International Book Festival and performed at the launch party for last year’s Book Festival.   Stuart and Rosie have regular gigs in the Scotch Malt Whisky Society and have also played regularly in Edinburgh’s Voodoo Rooms.

The duo play a mixture of jazz standards mixed with blues, original material – from Rosie’s first album, ‘Lazy and Mellow’, launched last autumn - and a few different takes on familiar songs.

banjo lounge 4

Formed in Edinburgh in November 2007 the Banjo Lounge 4 are a finger-popping, tune-swinging acoustic quartet that combine the awesome power of double bass, fast and funky drums, fat strumming acoustic guitar and the novelty redneck jazz styling of the five string banjo.

It’s an electric atmosphere all the way from this band so expect a thrilling mixture of classic pop from the 60's to the present day & bit of Johnny Cash style rock’n’roll, some very-danceable funky acoustic Motown plus a heavy sprinkling of lovely Tom Jones style showbiz...

Red2Red

red2red

Energetic ska mingles with lazy reggae, as 6-piece red2red yield sunny, bop-along tunes. The pitch perfect vocal harmonies will effortlessly evoke summer even on a dreary Glasgow day." Under the Radar.

dropkick

Dropkick is an alternative-country-power-pop band from Scotland. They play upbeat, catchy songs with a little humour and the kind of harmonies only brothers can produce.

In recent years Dropkick have shared the stage with acts such as Attic Lights, The Primary 5, Half Man Half Biscuit, Snow Patrol, The Lost Brothers, Sid Griffin & The Coal Porters, Roddy Hart, Oh Susannah! and ‘Guitar George’ Borowski. Although often booked to play as a full band, Andrew and Alastair Taylor maintain a strong interest in playing low-key acoustic folk nights from time to time. Andrew has also produced albums by Mike Allan and The Dead Beat Club in the past 2 years.
